20 million Samsung Galaxy S4 passed. And doubts?

Business: The figure is not official, but should be soon: the Galaxy S4 would have passed in the world at 20 million copies in two months, faster than the S3. Sure bet for Samsung? Not necessarily.

Launched in April, the latest addition to the Galaxy range of Samsung, the S4 would have passed 20 million units. 20 million shipped (not sold to the final consumer) devices, it is better than the S3 for which the manufacturer had to wait 100 days to reach the milestone.

If the record is not yet officially claimed by Samsung , this should not delay, reports the website iNews24 according to the manufacturer will conduct a press conference soon to celebrate, with great fanfare, this new stage.

Doubts and analysts fear a slowdown

A month after the release, and Samsung had announced triumphantly 10 million Galaxy S4 passed in the world. The 4th generation smartphone would be the one for which the rate of adoption is the highest according to official figures from the manufacturer.

Yet doubts remain. JP Morgan has reduced 80-60000000 its forecast sales for the S4 this year.Involved, a slowdown in demand illustrated by the alleged reduction in supplies Samsung with its suppliers. An assumption contradicted by the Korean .

In the first months of the year, that is to say, before the launch of the S4, Samsung anyway asserted its power. And Korean is the first quarter nearly 95% of revenues from the sale of Android smartphones. Android whose market share of mobile OS was 75% over the same period.

Indisputable dominance in the first quarter, but competition

Still in the first quarter, Samsung shipped 70.7 million smartphones in the world, representing a market share of 32.7%, against 17.3% for his main rival, Apple. And Europe, the dominance of Korean is even clearer with PDM 45%, up 6 points over one year.
