Google removes nine illegal links per second

Google and the hunt for illegal links

In the fight against piracy , there's assigns and actors digital , Google in mind. The first, like the RIAA , send requests to delete and remove the second illegal links. And only during the last week of September, the Mountain View giant has deleted no less than 9 links per second.
The U.S. site TorrentFreak was interested in the reports provided by Google as part of the transparency of its operations, and the numbers are instructive. Following requests from law Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which are 5.3 million illegal connections were treated for one week or 540 per minute or 32,400 per hour.
Other interesting figures, 5.3 million of these requests come from 5407 assigns different and sought 37,413 domain names. The most popular being the host of ZippyShare files and music sites and links Dilandau beemp3.
If Google can certainly handle many more requests, and there is no doubt that their number will increase, this hunt seems to have no significant effect on piracy ...
