Testing the Galaxy Mini S4: It's like a great (almost)

After many versions of the Galaxy S4 namely the Galaxy S4 Zoom or Galaxy S4 LTE-A, as well as the recent release of the Galaxy Note 3 could be heard almost about the Samsung Galaxy Mini S4. Yet this is a very good smartphone that could very well suited for people who do not want a great smartphone, but are still packed with the features and design of the original Galaxy S4. Below so that the full test S4 Galaxy Mini.

Unpacking
As is customary for the South Korean firm lately, S4 Galaxy Mini is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. Under the Smartphone is different manuals, charger sector, Micro USB cable, battery 1900 mAh and the Samsung-ear headphones that offer great sound.

Design
The design of the Galaxy S4 Mini is not far from that of classic Galaxy S4. The plastic material is still present, and covered with a layer of polycarbonate with a similar texture of aluminum. The button placement and the different ports do not change, as the power button located on the right side, the volume button on the left side, and the USB port is on the lower side.

Regarding ergonomics, the Galaxy Mini S4 is a little larger than the Galaxy S3 Mini, but the unit is still compact and stands comfortably in one hand.
Hardware
Unlike the "mini" version of the flagship smartphone of some manufacturers, the S4 Galaxy Mini is "mini" as its size, because inside it has everything a big one. Indeed, the S4 Galaxy Mini is powered by a 400 Snapdragon dual-core processor from Qualcomm, which is clocked at 1.7 GHz and powered by a 1.5 GB RAM followed by a Adreno 305 graphics chip. 8GB is proposed as a internal storage with the possibility of using a micro SD card up to 64GB Also, it should be noted that the S4 Galaxy Mini may well connect to 4G LTE network .
Recall specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Mini S4:
  • A qHD Super AMOLED 4.3 inch screen with a pixel density of 256ppi
  • Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz UI overlay
  • A dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz 400
  • Adreno 305 GPU
  • Of RAM 1.5 GB
  • An 8 MP camera with autofocus and flash
  • A front camera of 1.9 MP
  • FM Radio
  • 8 or 16GB expandable via a microSD card
  • A battery of 1900 mAh
  • Compatible with the 4G standard LTE
Display
Apart from the fact that the rest of the Super AMOLED screen with its vulnerability to sunlight, the display of 4.3-inch Galaxy S4 Mini offers more vivid colors with a decent light when you use it to Procedure. This screen offers a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which is not too bad compared to the size of the screen.
Digital Camera
The Samsung Galaxy Mini S4 features a main digital camera 8 MP which offers images of qualities in good conditions. However, we note that this sensor is not one of the best when it comes to taking pictures in a dimly lit environment, and Flash does not fared better. To the front of the unit is another 1.9 MP sensor for self-portraits or to place video calls.
On the application that manages this camera, it is slightly different from that proposed by the Galaxy S4, but the key features are still present as dual camera, panorama mode, rich color mode, night mode and more yet.
Here are some photos and a video taken with the S4 Galaxy Mini by our colleague GSMArena :

Audio
The speakers of the Samsung Galaxy Mini S4 lie on his back in the bottom right corner. The sound that comes out is generally good, but it is unfortunate that the size of the enclosure, it will fail to get a better bass and speakers often tend to slightly spit when they are pushed to the maximum.
Battery
The Samsung Galaxy Mini S4 comes with a 1900 mAh battery which is easily the day a charge and normal usage. Indeed, after three e-mail accounts that operate in push, many messages in the chat, browsing the web, phone calls and a few minutes of play, the battery could show in the evening a 10% charge remaining .
Software
The S4 Galaxy Mini is managed by the TouchWiz overlay of the firm that is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Everything is fluid and has no latency, even if multiple applications are running in the background.
Obviously, several features that are present on the Galaxy S4 (first name) are present, such as control functions, including the Air View, Stay Smart or Smart Control among others. Unlike the Galaxy S4 Classic S4 Galaxy Mini has indeed the FM radio application. Otherwise we also find S Translate, the ChatON and many others.test s4 galaxy mini 21503
Then the S4 Galaxy Mini is probably not one of the best smartphones to use if you want to play intensive games power. However, the graphics chip is doing quite well to provide an experience of more than correct games, without showing too much latency when running, for example Asphalt 8.
Finally, the S4 Galaxy Mini offers a decent browser, but no more. Most pages open without problems despite the fact that the device takes a little longer to open heavy pages. In any case, it is always interesting to go through Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for a better experience when you want to browse the internet.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the S4 Galaxy Mini is probably the best alternative for people wanting to buy a powerful Smartphone less than 4.5 inches. The performance is at the rendezvous, and stars original Galaxy S4 applications are present on the S4 Galaxy Mini.
