A new study shows that the touch screen of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is much more precise than the iPhone 5S or 5C Apple iPhone. It should be noted that the iPhone 5S and 5C iPhone were announced last September, while the Galaxy S3 has been marketed since last year.
For some, it is a point that does not matter, while for other consumers who are looking for absolute satisfaction, that has a great interest. In any case, this is what prompted the testers at OptoFidelity (a Finnish company that specializes in test and measurement automation, especially in machine vision and digital imaging systems, including touch screens ) to compare the two units.
Therefore OptoFidelity tested the performance of the touch screen of the Galaxy S3, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C via a robot arm touching the screen on various specific issues. The results showed that the new Apple smartphone will come out just after the test, stating inter alia that the sides and top of the screen is less responsive to touches. For its part, the Galaxy S3 was doing pretty well, because the result was similar whether in the center or at the ends of the screen. Thus, typing on the virtual keyboard is much more accurate on the Samsung device either in portrait or landscape mode, unlike the new Apple devices.
In any case, we can say that Apple has a way to go to be as responsive as a Samsung screen. However, it is curious qu'OptoFidelity had not compared the new iPhone with the most recent South Korean firm device like the Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3 among others. Perhaps to show that Apple has a delay on Samsung at this level? Because if Apple is late with its new products against former Smartphones of its competitors, you wonder what it is with the latest smartphones released by Samsung for example.
